Dr. Margaret Wong, Dr. Jay Lucker and Dr. Michael Oberschneider of Ashburn Psychological and Psychiatric Services had the pleasure to present at the Arc of Prince Wiliam County’s Circle of Support Conference on November 15. The conference was for families of children with special needs and the professionals who work with them. Dr. Wong presented on the most recent advances in diagnostic assessment and treatment for autism. Dr. Lucker presented on the most recent advances in speech and language and auditory processing concerns for children on the autistic spectrum. Dr. Oberschneider’s presentation for parents addressed the important but neglected topic of how to speak to your child about autism. We at APS would like to thank Ms. Jan Russell and everyone else at Arc who worked so hard to put together a very impressive and important event.
