Dr. Monica Page earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Miami and a Master’s degree in Counseling from The Ohio State University. Over the last 8 years she served as faculty at the University of Miami where she worked as a clinical supervisor, instructor and researcher. During her time at the University of Miami, she trained Masters level and Doctoral level clinicians with a focus on multicultural competencies including the impact of racial, ethnic and gender identities on individuals’ lived experiences. Having a passion for mentorship, Dr. Page served as a mentor for newly appointed faculty. Her clinical experience includes; child, adolescent, adult behavioral and emotional issues, family-focused treatment, and parent training. Dr. Page has developed and implemented several psychoeducational groups for children, parents and community members focused on skill development, including; how talk to your kids about race, gender and sex, recognizing ADHD, and implementation of interventions to increase self-awareness, emotional regulation and self-efficacy.

Dr Page is a compassionate scholar-practitioner with specialized training and experience working with culturally diverse (race, gender, and LGBTQ) populations. She works with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of behavioral, emotional and adjustment concerns, such as anxiety, depression, and interpersonal challenges. Dr. Page provides person-centered therapy with an integrative approach infused with aspects of cognitive-behavioral and multicultural therapies. She views clients from a strength-based perspective while empowering clients to improve their overall well-being.

Having served as a mental health liaison for the University of Miami Athletics Department for several years, Dr. Page has recently been appointed team clinician for the Washington Redskins. In her role with the Redskins, she will work with the NFL on developing and implementing mental health education and intervention. In addition to her work with professional athletes, Dr. Page is a certified Yoga and mindfulness instructor for children. Her Yoga practice is an extension of her clinical practice in that it is focused on; increasing awareness of one’s self and of the world in which we live; finding balance, and expressing gratitude through the use of the mind, body and meditative breathing.
