Dr. Mary Abraham is a Resident in Clinical Psychology who is completing her licensure with the State of Virginia. She is an integrative clinician and tailors her therapeutic approach to match her clients’ strengths and clinical needs. She is experienced in working with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relational issues, trauma recovery, and substance use recovery. She strives to meet clients where they are and to accompany them in overcoming obstacles that impede their capacity to flourish in the circumstances of their lives.

With extensive training in the area of diversity factors relating to spirituality, Dr. Abraham specializes in the integration of religious and spiritual identity factors in therapy and especially welcomes clients to whom their faith and/or religious tradition is an important part of their lives. She is also particularly interested in working with those recovering from trauma, second generation immigrants, peri and postpartum women, mental health practitioners and graduate students, and veterans and military service members.

Dr. Abraham earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience from Penn State University. Her Masters and Doctoral Degrees are in Clinical Psychology, from Divine Mercy University. She completed her Doctoral Residency at the Lebanon VA Medical Center and has worked in various clinical settings, including at VA hospitals, college counseling centers, military related settings, community mental health centers, and at the DC Superior Courts. She currently works under the supervision of a licensed clinical psychologist.
